Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want pricing to be simple and fair. Here is exactly how billing, cancellation, and refunds work. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

Free trial

New academies get a 30-day free trial. You add a payment method to start, but you are not charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends and you are never charged. If you don't cancel, your paid subscription begins when the trial ends.

Billing

MatNotes is a monthly subscription — $79 per academy per month (unless a different price was shown at signup), covering unlimited coaches and students. After the trial, your payment method is charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.

How to cancel

Cancel anytime — no phone call or email required:

  1. In the app, go to Billing → Manage billing.
  2. In the billing portal, choose Cancel subscription.

Cancelling stops future charges. Your academy keeps access through the end of the period you already paid for; after that, access pauses for you and your students. Your content is retained for a reasonable window in case you return, then deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Refunds

  • Trial:cancel any time during the 30-day trial and you're charged nothing.
  • Monthly subscription:because you can cancel anytime and access continues through the paid period, monthly fees already charged are generally non-refundable and we don't prorate partial months.
  • Billing errors:if you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a timely cancellation), contact us and we'll correct it with a full refund of the erroneous charge.
  • Goodwill:if something went wrong and you're unhappy, email us within 7 days of a charge; we review these case by case and may issue a refund or credit at our discretion.
  • Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Before you dispute a charge

If a charge looks wrong, please contact us first at support@thematnotes.com — we can almost always resolve it faster than a card dispute. Filing a chargeback may result in suspension of the account while the dispute is resolved.
